About Us

The Olde Wythe Neighborhood Association was formed in 1993 to serve the residents of Olde Wythe. Our number one goal is to improve the quality of life of all Olde Wythe residents. We do this by working closely with the city of Hampton on issues that affect us and by holding various events throughout the year to bring neighbors together.
The Olde Wythe Neighborhood Association is governed by a board of 15 volunteers and a set of by-laws. We maintain this website, that is designed to share the Olde Wythe neighborhood story. The site is continuously updated with news from the board and from the city of Hampton that affects you and our neighborhood.
We believe it is important to have a largest membership roster possible for the association. While membership is voluntary, it is important to have a large pool of volunteers and advocates to help with our goal of making Olde Wythe the best place to live in Hampton. Our membership rolls help with negotiation with the city staff and other community groups when issues affecting the neighborhood are brought to their attention.
Detailed by-laws govern the Board of Directors and neighborhood committees. Board meets once a month.with board minutes posted on the website.
The Board is made up of the following:
- President
- Past President
- 1st Vice President
- 2nd Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Past President
- 9 District Representatives
With 1600 homes, we earnestly try to inform everyone of the various events that take place in the neighborhood. We do this in many different
ways such as:
- A quarterly newsletter that is hand-delivered to each home or apartment.
- Our web site which is continuously updated with news and events of the neighborhood as well as news from the city that affects our neighborhood.
- By becoming a member of OWNA you will receive emails alerts of news and event reminders that pertain to our neighborhood.
- Quarterly membership meetings. Each meeting agenda includes a brief business meeting and a speaker on the issues of the day.
- Message boards (3) placed at each major entrance to the neighborhood advertising upcoming events and meetings.
OWNA also plans social activities that bring neighbors together.

- Easter Egg Hunt
